Youth Ministry

For those who don’t already know, Brandi’s were the featured eyes in January. In spite of the poor quality of the picture, Daniel Stoudt was the first one to guess correctly and for his effort, he was given a gift card to Rizzutos, the ice cream place on Oro Blanco. If you haven’t been there, go check it out… . It’s a new month, so the contest is on again—can you figure out whose eyes these are? If so, be the first one to guess whose these eyes are and you’ll be awarded a fabulous prize. As always, contact Mrs. C or another of us if you think you know who it is.

We had fun last month at John Wesley Ranch (JWR). We learned about how the Apostle Paul equated the tools God has given us to deal with the world with the armor worn by Roman Soldiers. We made our own versions of that armor and James and Megan Disney were our “models”. While at JWR we got in quite a bit of tubing and popped 4 of our best tubes (though Molly the English Sheepdog bit a hole in one). Guess they don’t make ‘em like they used to. Later on in the month we did Faith Builders: the Junior High is moving their way through the Old Testament, book by book, while the Senior High is putting some scriptures to memory. We also took those who have been doing a good job responding to the weekly e-mails out for ice cream. Keep up the good work guys and girls!!!! We finished up the month by planning for the Mission Trip and filling backpacks for Mitchell and Swigert.

The Mission trip this summer to New Mexico is an important event for the youth - we will be having a Silent Auction in April. If you have a service or a product that you would like to donate for the auction, it wouild be greatly appreciated.
