 Meet Pastor Howard
He was born June 30, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, and later went on to receive a BA Degree in secondary education from Wichita State University, a Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster School of Theological Seminar in Lancaster, PA, and a Master of Social Work from Syracuse University.
After seminary, Pastor Howard served churches in Virginia and moved to Syracuse, New York, in 1980. He had a very successful tenure as pastor of the 700-member Hopps Memorial CME Church of Syracuse from 1980 until 2004. He made the decision in 2004 to seek an appointment in the Denver area in order to be nearer to his father who lives in Wichita. He has been the senior minister of Jefferson Ave. UMC in Wheatridge for the past four years.
